With Cut, With Groove
High-efficiency grooving processing with stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys.
With the stability cultivated in WizThread, we present WizGroove for grooving operations. Grooving, where rigidity is put to the test, is where the stability that WizCut is particular about truly shines. Grooving is a plunging operation where the entire insert makes contact with the workpiece and cuts into it. In automatic lathe machining, grooving often poses challenges due to insufficient tool rigidity, which can lead to rough surfaces or dimensional inaccuracies, especially when working with hard materials. To address this issue, WizCut has developed WizGroove by applying the proven principle of the vertically positioned insert method from WizThread, achieving stable machining during the process. Similar to WizThread, it features a four-corner usable insert and an internal coolant holder that can handle up to 20MPa.
