[Low cost] In terms of cost, it is approximately 1.5 times that of plastic (PE) and is cheaper than bioplastics. [Biomass content (20%)] With a biomass content of 20%, it reduces the use of finite resources from petroleum-based plastics by 20%, marking a first step towards environmental measures and reducing plastic use. [CO2 emissions reduction effect] In Japan, waste disposal primarily involves incineration, including plastics. Incineration results in CO2 emissions, which are considered an environmental issue. This cushioning material reduces CO2 emissions during combustion by about 20% compared to plastic (PP), as verified by CERI (Chemical Evaluation and Research Institute). The reduction effect is recognized in practice, not just in theory regarding carbon neutrality.
