Low-speed collision of road cleaning vehicles, contact during reverse, and measures against entrapment sonar sensors.
During low-speed operations of road cleaning vehicles, up to 8 sensors detect obstacles, implementing measures to prevent contact and entrapment while reversing. There are over 6,000 proven units in trucks and buses.
The system reduces accidents during low-speed operations, especially when reversing, to prevent contact and entrapment with street cleaning vehicles. This system is designed and developed by a Japanese sensor manufacturer that holds a 60% share of the global ultrasonic sensor market and is manufactured at its overseas factories. The controller is combined with a dedicated ECU that incorporates a unique algorithm, and there have been over 6,000 units supplied for trucks and buses within six years of its launch. It is a sonar system for buses and trucks, consisting of a dedicated controller and ultrasonic sensors designed and developed in Japan, capable of configuring up to 8 channels. There are numerous installation records for various domestic trucks (large, medium, and small) as well as imported trucks. The basic configuration of the system has two types: - An on-screen display type that shows detection distance with backup monitor interruption. - A dedicated LED indicator display type. The basic sensor configurations are 2 channels, 4 channels, 6 channels, and 8 channels. The basic installation positions are 2 channels in the front and 6 channels in the rear (2 channels on the upper side / 4 channels on the lower side). The sensor angles can be adjusted to some extent. *Compatible with both 12V and 24V systems.
