Deformation prevention: Rubber sponge and packing - No need for replacement due to deformation!
Countermeasures for sponge rubber packing wear! High resilience sponge packing that can almost eliminate wear even with long-term use over a decade.
High-recovery ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, when used as airtight seals for equipment handling powders or waterproof seals for liquids, exhibits extremely low compression deformation even after prolonged use, ensuring that the seals do not "sag." By utilizing this feature, it becomes possible to significantly reduce the frequency of seal replacements in hard-to-maintain areas deep within machinery. As a material, EPDM excels in chemical resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, and aging resistance. Its inherent elasticity as sponge rubber, combined with its non-sagging characteristics and consistent load response, allows it to also be used as "damping material." High-recovery rubber sponge has extremely low permanent deformation, providing excellent shape retention, and it instantly returns to its original form even after being subjected to prolonged pressure. - Features - - High weather resistance due to EPDM (ethylene propylene rubber) - Operating temperature range: -20 to +80°C - Sulfur-free grade with free sulfur below measurement limit - Flame retardant/oil-resistant grade (railway flame retardant compliant) * Custom cutting to required lengths available, with adhesive tape for delivery - Instantly recovers from a compressed state - High shape retention - Extremely low permanent deformation - Soft sponge suitable for a wide range of applications
basic information
☆Product lineup tailored to applications - SSF: Standard hardness SSF, hardness 20 - SSF-HARD: For areas requiring particularly high airtightness, hardness 30 - SSF-PO: For areas where issues arise due to free sulfur, hardness 15 - SSF-CR: For areas requiring flame retardancy and oil resistance, hardness 20 - SSF-SOFT: For areas that achieve water sealing with small stress, hardness 2
Price information
Prices vary depending on the quantity. We can offer it at a cost difference of about 10-20% compared to standard EPDM. *Basically, the materials are the same, and the "non-sagging" feature is achieved through differences in the manufacturing process.

Applications/Examples of results
Examples utilizing the concept of "not deteriorating": - Gaskets for equipment that are difficult to replace after installation in mountainous or remote areas - Gaskets in parts of equipment that are integrated and not easily replaceable - Electrical boxes and distribution boards that lose waterproofing due to deterioration (Waterproofing) - Tsunami barrier door gaskets - Bathroom gaskets for residential equipment (apron water stops, drains, inspection ports, etc.) - Gaskets for various industrial equipment (Air tightness) - Odor dispersion prevention - Paper dust dispersion prevention - Air-tight gaskets around doors (Rubber dampers utilizing the elasticity of rubber sponge) - Automotive hood dampers

Founded 91 years ago as "Yashima Automobile Parts Trading Company," our company originated from the automotive parts division of Yashima Motor Co., which was the general importer of Chrysler vehicles in 1926. Over the years, we evolved from supplying repair parts to directly providing mass-produced components to automobile manufacturers, in line with the pre-war and post-war trends of domestic automobile production. At the time of our establishment, the Toranomon area was referred to as Japan's Detroit, yet there were almost no domestic vehicles present, and we had been engaged in automotive-related business even before the domestic production of automobiles began. Today, we have transformed and grown into a technical trading company that directly supplies and sells mass-produced parts to major automobile manufacturers and construction machinery manufacturers. We support the development departments of manufacturers with technical proposals and assist the procurement departments with global parts sourcing, providing mass production solutions for a wide range of products, from resin molded products, semiconductors, electronic components, and sensors to inverters and onboard motors that make up electric vehicles. Notably, the next-generation onboard electrification components have significantly increased, with mass production sales reaching an annual scale of 6 billion yen.
