Is there a decrease in water-stopping functionality due to a shortage of craftsmen or lack of experience in caulking, leading to water-stopping complaints? We propose the possibility of achieving caulking-free solutions by converting part of the on-site caulking to rubber packing. Additionally, by using sponge rubber that incorporates a high resilience feature of "not deforming," we can significantly reduce the frequency of caulking reapplication. The EPDM, which is the raw material for rubber sponge, possesses excellent chemical resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, and aging resistance. By adding the characteristic of "not deforming" to the inherent elasticity of sponge rubber, it eliminates the need for replacement due to deformation.
