Collision accident prevention for tank trucks - aftermarket backup sonar, made by a Japanese manufacturer.
An aftermarket sonar sensor system for collision prevention at low speeds for tank trucks. Over 500 units installed on domestic tank trucks!
This is a sonar system for tank trucks composed of a dedicated controller and ultrasonic sensors. It is a system that alerts the driver to the danger of obstacles in front of or behind the vehicle with warning sounds and a dedicated display. The sensors that detect obstacles are ultrasonic sensor elements commonly used in passenger cars. In addition to sensors from a Japanese manufacturer with a 60% global market share, we have also designed and developed a dedicated controller that incorporates a unique algorithm, which is manufactured at our overseas factory, boasting high quality and reliability! When the tank truck is traveling at a speed of approximately 10 km/h or less, it ensures a detection distance of 100 cm/180 cm from the vehicle body, specifically focusing on warning of collision accidents during low-speed reversing, allowing for safety checks just after the vehicle starts to reverse and just before it stops. The base system is a product developed in collaboration with major commercial vehicle manufacturers specifically for commercial vehicles, and it has been installed in over 20,000 units across various commercial vehicles, including major logistics companies both domestically and internationally, major city route buses, tourist buses, camper vans, fire trucks, and garbage trucks. Our distributors cover a wide area nationwide, and orders including installation work can be placed throughout the country. *Excluding remote islands. Founded 91 years ago as "Yashima Automobile Parts Trading Company," our company originated from the automotive parts division of Yashima Motor Co., which was the general importer of Chrysler vehicles in 1926. Over the years, we evolved from supplying repair parts to directly providing mass-produced components to automobile manufacturers, in line with the pre-war and post-war trends of domestic automobile production. At the time of our establishment, the Toranomon area was referred to as Japan's Detroit, yet there were almost no domestic vehicles present, and we had been engaged in automotive-related business even before the domestic production of automobiles began. Today, we have transformed and grown into a technical trading company that directly supplies and sells mass-produced parts to major automobile manufacturers and construction machinery manufacturers. We support the development departments of manufacturers with technical proposals and assist the procurement departments with global parts sourcing, providing mass production solutions for a wide range of products, from resin molded products, semiconductors, electronic components, and sensors to inverters and onboard motors that make up electric vehicles. Notably, the next-generation onboard electrification components have significantly increased, with mass production sales reaching an annual scale of 6 billion yen.
