Unified Thread Standard (UTS)

Unified screws (inch screws) are screws made in inch sizes.

It is also referred to as "ISO inch screw." Basically, the unified screw is adopted in three countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, and it has been standardized for military use. In Japan, the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) stipulate that the screws commonly used are of the same standard as "ISO metric screws," while "ISO inch screws" are used in aircraft and other cases where it is particularly necessary.
