Thermosetting resin glass epoxy laminate (Galaepo) machining.
We are machining glass epoxy laminates (Galaepo), which are thermosetting resins, using machine tools to manufacture electrical insulation parts and mechanical components.
Glass epoxy laminated sheets (Galaepo) are laminated sheets made by layering sheets of glass fiber impregnated with epoxy resin and then heating and pressurizing them. They are thermosetting resins that excel in strength and electrical insulation properties. In addition to being used as electrical insulation components and mechanical parts, they are also utilized as structural components that serve as metal alternatives, taking advantage of the characteristics of high-strength FRP.
basic information
The overview of glass epoxy laminated sheets (Galaepo) is as follows. <Physical Properties> Heat resistance temperature: 120–150°C Bending strength: 400–500 MPa Compressive strength: 400–500 MPa Impact strength (Izod): 5–6 J/cm Thermal conductivity: 0.3 W/(m·k) Specific gravity: 1.75–1.95 The above values are measured values and not guaranteed values. The heat resistance temperature is a guideline and may vary depending on usage conditions. <Material Dimensions> Thickness: 1–50 mm Dimensions: 1000×1000 mm, 1000×2000 mm, etc. for sheets and plates Round rods and pipe-shaped materials are also available.
