[Case Study] Wheels and Chain Wheels for Escalators
Achieving excellent concentricity! Introducing a case study on the development of wheels and chain wheels for escalators.
We would like to introduce a case where wheels and chain wheels developed by Blickle were implemented in the escalators located in the Maastunnel of Rotterdam city. There are eight escalators installed in the tunnel, and during maintenance inspections, it was found that the wheels were worn due to long-term use. Blickle developed and implemented running wheels with a diameter of 180×30 millimeters and chain wheels with a diameter of 180×40 millimeters. This enabled quiet and smooth operation with the running wheels, allowing for long-term use. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Need for customizable wheels - Attaching wheels to the existing axles of the step chain - Required friction resistance to prevent slipping on metal tracks ■Products Introduced - SPO 180×30/20-14K-959895 - SPO 180×40/20-30SK-959896 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
