We propose weight reduction through the material conversion to "magnesium alloy" from aluminum components and others. We address challenges such as strong vibrations affecting the equipment, which lead to an increased number of reinforcement parts in the case of aluminum. By switching to magnesium, we achieved significant weight reduction. Our company offers three proposals: "weight reduction," "vibration reduction," and "material substitution with a single wooden mold." While the cost of the individual target parts has increased, we successfully reduced reinforcement parts and achieved the intended weight reduction through material substitution. We received positive feedback for being able to entrust even the surface treatment against oxidation, especially since there are not many suppliers handling magnesium casting.
