External Control Fund Drive "ECFD"
It is a fluid clutch that controls the cooling fan for the engine at the appropriate rotation speed.
The ECFD (Externally Controlled Fan Drive) uses an electromagnet instead of a bimetal to control the fan speed by inputting an electrical signal from an external source, as opposed to the conventional fan drive that relies on a bimetal responding to the air temperature after passing through the radiator. It incorporates information such as engine coolant temperature, engine speed, and fan speed into the ECU, calculates the ideal fan speed for the engine, and converts that information into an electrical signal to control the ECFD. 【Features】 - Always enables optimal fan speed control for engine cooling. - Improves fuel efficiency, enhances engine combustion efficiency, and reduces fan noise. - Offers a lineup of ECFDs ranging from small to large sizes. basic information
【Features】 ○ Unlike conventional fan drives that control fan speed based on the air temperature after passing through the radiator using a bimetallic sensor, this system uses an electromagnet instead of a bimetallic sensor and inputs an electrical signal from the outside to control the fan speed. ○ Information such as engine coolant temperature, engine speed, and fan speed is collected by the ECU, which calculates the ideal fan speed for the engine and converts that information into an electrical signal to control the ECFD. ○ Always enables optimal fan speed control. ○ Improvement in fuel efficiency. ○ Enhancement of engine combustion efficiency. ○ Reduction of fan noise. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
