■Features This is a temperature and humidity transmitter equipped with a data logger function. In addition to analog output of current or voltage, it also offers RS232C/RS485 serial communication (available on all models) and control ON/OFF output (only for models ending in -R). A major feature is the compatibility of the probes, allowing users to replace the probes with spare ones without interrupting the process for long periods if a probe replacement is necessary. The temperature and humidity probes are common to both series and consist of three types: a rear probe (S.TO) directly connected to the main housing, a downward probe (S.TV), and a separated probe (S.TC) that connects to the main housing via cables (2m/5m/10m). The rear probe (S.TO) and downward probe (S.TV) are made of stainless steel AISI304, while the separated probe (S.TC) is made of AISI304 or 'POCAN' (plastic). The temperature and humidity probes are calibrated before shipment, so no adjustment is needed before use. The probes are equipped with a SICRAM2 module, which stores the calibration data for each probe and enables probe compatibility.

The temperature and humidity transmitter measures the following elements: ● Temperature ● Relative humidity Based on the measurements of these elements, the following calculations are performed: ● Wet bulb temperature (only for MC8HD2717T) ● Dew point temperature ● Absolute humidity ● Mixing ratio ■ All models are equipped with current and voltage analog outputs (MC8HD2717T has 2 outputs, MC8HD2817T has 3 outputs), which can be selected via dip switches inside the unit. Additionally, transmitters with the model suffix -R have user-configurable control relay outputs (2 points) and alarm relay outputs (1 point). RS232C/RS485 serial communication functionality is standard across all models. With RS485, network management of two or more transmitters is also possible. ■ The data logger function allows for the selection of sampling intervals and can store 9000 data points for measurement and calculation elements. The built-in real-time clock is backed up by a lithium battery, ensuring that settings within the unit are retained even if power to the transmitter is lost. The power supply can be selected from either AC/DC 24V or a universal power supply of AC 90-240V.
