リキッドハンドリング製品のラインナップを拡大し、ラボオートメーション市場における企業価値向上を目的として、自動分注機器を扱う２社が力を合わせました。 ライフサイエンス分野の自動化装置および消耗品の設計・開発において世界的なリーティングカンパニーであるSPT Labtech Ltd.（本社：英国、ハートフォードシャー州、日本法人：SPT Labtech Japan株式会社、東京都大田区）は、カリフォルニア州コビナに本社を置くApricot Designs Inc.を買収したことを発表しました。 Apricot Designs社は、マルチチャンネルのマイクロ容量分注機やサンプル前処理装置の設計・製造において、30年以上の実績を持つ、分注機器メーカーです。 ポジティブディスプレイスメント技術を用いたナノリッター分注装置を主力とするSPT Labtechは、エアーディスプレイスメント技術を用いたマイクロリッターオーダーの96/384分注ヘッド技術に定評のあるApricot社の買収により、より幅広い自動化ソリューションを提供できるようになります。
