Edmund Optics Japan, Inc. has started selling NIR wire grid polarizers. NIR wire grid polarizers are broadband polarizers designed to achieve high transmission rates from 700 to 2500 nm. They offer a high contrast version with a 5900:1 extinction ratio at 2400 nm, or a high transmission version that provides up to 91% transmission at 1900 nm. They are suitable for thermal imaging.
