Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hitachi Construction Machinery) and ABB's Traction Division have jointly developed a full electric dump truck for large mines, which has completed its first prototype and reached an important milestone. This prototype has already undergone initial testing within the factory and is scheduled to be shipped to the Kansanshi Copper-Gold Mine in Zambia on January 20, 2024, with demonstration tests and final testing programs planned to be conducted after mid-2024.
