ABB and Kyoritsu Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announce strategic collaboration to strengthen domestic supply of ring main units.
ABB Ltd. and Kyoritsu Electric Co., Ltd. have signed a strategic channel partner program agreement that allows Kyoritsu Electric to manufacture the product domestically through licensing, accelerating the domestic supply and after-support of ABB's high-voltage switchgear for secondary distribution, SafeRing/SafePlus "Ring Main Unit" (hereinafter referred to as "RMU"). This collaboration aims to respond to the growing demand from industries such as manufacturing, renewable energy, data centers, and commercial infrastructure. ABB announces a new model of the Terra 184 rapid charger, compatible with both CHAdeMO and NACS standards.
- The Terra 184 JN model, compatible with both CHAdeMO and NACS standards, has been added to the Terra 184 lineup. - ABB's deployment of the NACS standard is the first in the Asia-Pacific region. - Orders will begin in 2025, with deliveries expected to start in 2026. ABB will begin domestic handling of the Terra 184 JN rapid charger (CHAdeMO + NACS specification), which supports both CHAdeMO and NACS (North American Charging Standard) standards.
