ABB secures a $150 million traction contract to supply power to Australia's QTMP trains and announces a new facility in Queensland.

ABB has signed a contract worth \$150 million in February 2024 to supply a complete traction package, engineering, and service support for 65 six-car passenger trains to be delivered as part of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) in Queensland, Australia. As part of this contract awarded to Hyundai Rotem Company (South Korea), ABB will establish a Traction Center of Excellence to support the production of the traction packages.
