ABB has signed a contract worth \$150 million in February 2024 to supply a complete traction package, engineering, and service support for 65 six-car passenger trains to be delivered as part of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) in Queensland, Australia. As part of this contract awarded to Hyundai Rotem Company (South Korea), ABB will establish a Traction Center of Excellence to support the production of the traction packages. Hyundai Rotem is a joint venture partner with Downer EDI Rail Pty Ltd, a leading provider of traction package asset management. For more details, please check the related link (our website).
