ABB's electric propulsion, power, energy storage, control, and automation technologies will be at the core of South Asia's first tugboat capable of switching between low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG) engines and zero-emission battery power. The tugboat, operated in the Port of Singapore, is being ordered from Jurong Marine Services, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, and is expected to be delivered from the Sembcorp Marine shipyard by the end of 2020.
