In a typical data center, the air conditioning and cooling systems consume about 40% of the total power, which is equivalent to the power consumption of server equipment. Fundamentally improving the power efficiency of the motors and VSDs (inverters), which are the main components of the air conditioning and cooling systems, directly contributes to energy savings and reductions in electricity costs for the entire data center.
