Advanet Inc. has developed the intelligent CompactPCI EtherCAT master board A3pci1571 and the PCI Express EtherCAT master board AdEXP1572. The A3pci1571 is a 3U single-size CompactPCI board with EtherCAT master communication capabilities. The AdEXP1572 is a PCI Express board with EtherCAT master communication capabilities. Both products use the ARM Cortex-A9 processor from Xilinx's Zynq series, making them intelligent boards. The EtherCAT master protocol stack is equipped with "ECMaster" from Acconet, compliant with Class A, and supports cable redundancy and hot connection. It functions as an intelligent slave, enabling EtherCAT master communication without burdening the host CPU. The supported operating systems are expected to be VxWorks 6.9.3.2 and Windows 7.
