アピステ
Recently, there has been a growing sense of crisis regarding climate change due to global warming around the world. In Japan, a declaration has been made to "achieve a decarbonized society and aim for carbon neutrality by 2050." In response to this situation, some companies are keenly sensing the need for decarbonization and are viewing it not as a risk to avoid but as a business opportunity. Major companies are accelerating the trend of demanding decarbonization in their supply chains, and it is believed that companies that are passive about decarbonization will be left behind, while proactive companies will differentiate themselves. The manufacturing industry, due to its structural characteristics, emits a significant amount of carbon dioxide, making the realization of decarbonization a challenging task. This document introduces an overview of a decarbonized society (carbon neutrality), the SDGs, and policies surrounding decarbonization globally. We hope it will be of assistance to those in the manufacturing industry considering decarbonization.
