basic information
This product features the Western Digital WD Red, a high-durability HDD designed for RAID environments, which offers greater durability and reliability than standard HDDs, making it suitable for NAS environments. It is a HDD that balances transfer speed, reliability, and low power consumption, and with NASware 3.0 technology, it provides long-term stable operation in RAID-configured NAS systems. The Western Digital Ultrastar series, used in models with 8 or more bays, is designed for 24/7 operation and achieves a maximum MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of 2.5 million hours. It offers protection against vibration through RAFF technology (vibration correction technology), reduces drive fallout in storage environments through RAID-compatible error recovery, and supports a maximum workload of 550TB per year (1 terabyte = 1000GB), providing enterprise-level specifications for NAS systems.
