The online water quality meter "IQ Sensor Net" allows for remote access to view measurement values, download data, change settings, and operate relays, enabling monitoring and control (machine operation) from outside the facility. It is now possible to measure wild viruses at actual treatment plants, allowing for the empirical assessment of virus removal capabilities, significantly contributing to water safety. Professor Hiroyuki Katayama from the University of Tokyo will provide a clear explanation of these technologies, incorporating specific treatment case studies.
