COD（化学的酸素要求量）
化学的酸素要求量（ＣＯＤ）とは、水中の被酸化性物質が一定条件の下で、酸化剤によって酸化されるのに要する酸素量（Ｏ）をmg/Lで表したものです。 一般にＣＯＤは水の有機物質による汚濁の指標として用いられます。 港湾（海洋）や湖沼などの閉鎖性水域の汚染の総合的な指標として測定される他、工場排水などの放流水の水質管理項目として測定されます。
