FOCUS / Electron Beam Welding Machine
The MEBW60 series is an electron beam processing machine specialized for extremely fine machining! Please consult us for processing materials that are difficult to work with using laser machining.
The MEBW60 series is an electron beam processing machine specialized in extremely fine machining. It excels in processing materials that are difficult to work with using laser machining. Welding: It achieves high-precision welding with a welding width of less than 1mm, such as 200μm. Depending on the conditions, welding with a width of 50μm is also possible. The output is 60KV with a maximum of 33mA. Drilling: It can create extremely small holes of less than 50μm in metal due to localized strong energy. Depending on the conditions, drilling holes of 10μm is also possible. Metal surface processing: It is also capable of surface structure formation, hardening, engraving, and polishing.
basic information
Focus, located in Hünstetten, Hesse, western Germany, is a company with a proven track record in the field of electronic observation devices, established in 1990 through advanced research and development. Since 2007, it has been selling its own designed and manufactured micro-electron beam processing machines. It is capable of drilling extremely small holes, such as Φ10μm, fine welding, and surface shape processing. Additionally, highly skilled engineers provide thorough after-sales service for the products sold.

Applications/Examples of results
【Micro Welding】 By irradiating high-density energy in a vacuum, it is possible to achieve narrow and deep welds. Thermal deformation can be minimized, and the finish of the welded surface is also clean. It is widely used for welding dissimilar metals. It is utilized in various fields such as electronic components, research and development, microtechnology, automotive parts, watches and jewelry, and the medical industry. 【Drilling】 Drilling processing is possible using pulses of an electron beam. High-density energy allows for the evaporation of various materials, enabling drilling of holes smaller than 50μm. There are also achievements in drilling holes around 10μm. The photo shows an example of drilling processing on a 500μm thick gold metal sheet. Processing on various metals is possible.
