Lightweight and low-cost motor made of aluminum.
Our motors use aluminum instead of electromagnetic steel sheets 【Aluminum-based motors】 #Lightweight and low-cost with aluminum
Our company's CP motors do not use electromagnetic steel plates; instead, they use aluminum. Since the specific gravity of aluminum is significantly lower than that of electromagnetic steel plates, using aluminum contributes to further weight reduction of our motors. However, aluminum is corrosive, so proper surface treatment is necessary. By the way, there are many types of aluminum, including bright aluminum alloy plates, high-gloss aluminum alloy plates, high-strength aluminum alloy plates, thick aluminum alloy plates, and high-precision thick aluminum alloy plates. To prioritize cost advantages, we use ADC12 (for molds) and A5052 as standard aluminum, as they are easier to machine. Aluminum is used in various aspects of daily life, but even when simply referred to as aluminum, there are many different types. Specifically, there is pure aluminum, which is over 99% aluminum, and aluminum alloys, which are created by adding various metallic elements to change their properties. Generally, the "aluminum" commonly used is mostly aluminum alloy.
basic information
In the JIS standard, aluminum and aluminum alloys are classified using the following designation. Example designation: A 5 0 5 2 This will be explained in detail below. A○○○○ The four-digit number ○○○○ following A represents the name of the aluminum alloy. A = "A" representing Aluminium 5 = Represents the type of alloy. 1 = 1000 series aluminum, pure aluminum (aluminum with a purity of 99.00% or higher) 2 = 2000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Cu series) 3 = 3000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Mn series) 4 = 4000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Si series) 5 = 5000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Mg series) 6 = 6000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Mg-Si series) 7 = 7000 series aluminum alloy (Al-Zn-Mg series) 8 = Aluminum alloys of other series 9 = Reserved 0 = Indicates the order of establishment, representing an improved version of the alloy. 52 = In the case where the alloy type is 1 (for pure aluminum), it represents the purity of aluminum to two decimal places. (Example) A1070 = Aluminum with a purity of 99.70%
