Differences in biofilm formation by bacterial strains

A brief classification of biofilm formation by the bacteria used in our analysis!

We would like to introduce the differences in biofilm formation by bacterial species based on the biofilm-related analyses conducted by our company. Many bacteria, from well-known ones like Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to anaerobic bacteria such as periodontal pathogens, form biofilms. While the formation is influenced by culture conditions, the amount and structure of biofilm formation vary by species. Additionally, the biofilm formation by mixed bacteria can significantly exceed that of single species, and their morphology can differ greatly. [Differences by Bacterial Species] ■ Bacterial species with high biofilm formation: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus mutans ■ Bacterial species with low biofilm formation: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus ■ Bacterial species that form highly adhesive biofilms: Staphylococcus epidermidis ■ Bacterial species that form less adhesive biofilms: Pseudomonas aeruginosa *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
