Aspherical achromatic lenses are a completely new concept that combines the features of traditional achromatic lenses, which correct chromatic aberration, and aspherical lenses, which correct spherical aberration. They are highly efficient lens products referred to as "aspherical lenses with corrected chromatic aberration." The doublet-type achromatic lens, made by bonding two glass lenses with different optical properties, not only corrects chromatic aberration but also improves spherical aberration, allowing for a smaller beam spot size compared to using a single lens. Aspherical achromatic lenses are created by fusing polymer resin to the third surface (image-side exit surface) of the doublet-type lens.
