オプティクス： 非球面レンズ
非球面レンズは、バーコードスキャナーやレーザーダイオードコリメーション、またOEMや研究開発のインテグレーションを始めとする一連のアプリケーションにおいて、球面収差を取り除くために用いられます。複数のレンズで構成される光学アッセンブリ内のレンズを非球面レンズに置き換えることで、必要なレンズの数を減らし、小型化にも貢献することができます。レンズの第一面に球面形状を採用する従来のレンズとは異なり、非球面レンズは、レンズの中心から端面にかけての曲率が徐々に変化する、より複雑な面形状を採用しています。レンズ総枚数の削減は、システムとしての大きさや重量の削減に貢献するだけでなく、組立工程の単純化にも貢献します。非球面レンズを、レーザーダイオードからの出力の集光を始めとするアプリケーションに採用すると、トータルコストを削減するばかりでなく、従来の球面レンズを用いてデザインされたアッセンブリ品の性能を超えることも可能になります。
