This infrared aspheric lens is ideal for mid-wave and long-wave infrared applications. Made using low-cost molding, this product can be used at higher ambient temperatures than germanium lenses, which lose 20-30% transmittance at 100°C. It enables applications that were difficult with germanium materials. A variety of AR coatings are available for different functional wavelength bands.
