basic information
TECHSPEC near-infrared achromatic lenses are designed to achieve a small spot size for polychromatic light in the range of 750 to 1100 nm. Compared to conventional achromatic lenses designed for the visible spectrum, they offer superior imaging performance in the aforementioned wavelength range. For example, when comparing the beam spot diameter of an achromatic lens designed for the visible spectrum with this lens, the spot size for polychromatic light in the specified wavelength range is reduced from an RMS value of 43 µm to 22.5 µm (generally, when comparing lenses of the same diameter and focal length, the near-infrared design has about half the beam spot diameter of the visible design). Additionally, when used with monochromatic light below a wavelength of 2 µm, it can improve spherical aberration and achieve excellent focusing performance. It features an infinite conjugate ratio design.
