Precision elliptical mirror
Precision elliptical mirrors using borofloat glass on the substrate. Products with hole processing for convenient light source installation are also available.
Precision elliptical mirrors are ideal for simplifying the design and integration of optical systems. The use of elliptical mirrors with two focal points eliminates the need to place multiple focusing optical elements within a single optical system. By positioning the light source at the first focal point, the light from the source converges to a single point at the second focal point. Two types of coatings are available. An aluminum coating provides high reflectivity across a wide range from visible to infrared. The cold mirror coating allows thermal light (IR) from the light source to pass through while efficiently reflecting only cool light (visible light). This makes it ideal for condenser applications where the effects of thermal light are a concern. ■ Precision optical polishing ■ Borofloat glass used for substrates ■ Some products feature hole processing for convenient light source installation (at the center of the substrate) ■ Coating options with protective aluminum and cold mirror ■ Ideal for solar and condenser applications *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan below.
