basic information

Cleartran is a zinc sulfide (ZnS) material that is free of moisture and compatible with multi-wavelength spectra. It is transparent over a wide wavelength range from 0.4μm to 12μm and exhibits low absorption and low scattering characteristics within the same wavelength band. Zinc sulfide is a crystalline material produced using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), similar to TECHSPEC ZnSe optical windows, and is commonly used for thermal imaging. Due to its excellent transmission characteristics in the visible and infrared regions, Cleartran is a viable option for systems utilizing photoelectric sensors sensitive to the same wavelengths. Cleartran is slightly harder than ZnSe material and has higher chemical resistance. We offer two types of anti-reflective coatings: one without coating and another that functions in the 3-12μm broadband range.
