basic information
The Grand-type polarizing prism is a fixed polarizing prism element used in applications that require a wide spectral range, high extinction ratio, or high degree of polarization. The Grand-Taylor polarizing prism is a UV-NIR polarizing element for medium output light sources/airspace configurations that transmits light beams of anomalous rays. The light beam of the ordinary ray is reflected once inside the prism and then enters a black glass plate bonded and fixed to the prism, where it is absorbed. The Grand-laser polarizing prism operates on the same basic principle as the Grand-Taylor but is designed for higher output applications. It is manufactured using advanced polishing techniques to minimize surface scattering and is equipped with two escape windows to allow high output reflected light to escape. The Grand-Thomson polarizing prism is a polarizing element suitable for low output light sources used in UV, visible, and NIR applications. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan below.*
