Polymer phase contrast film

A film that changes the polarization state of transmitted light. Made of highly durable birefringent polymer!

Polymer phase difference films are highly durable birefringent polymer sheets designed to alter the polarization state of transmitted light. The colorless λ/4 and λ/2 polymer phase difference films, which have high light transmittance, function as single-layer wavelength plates for polychromatic light and are optically and mechanically stable up to 90°C or 80°C. The 1λ polymer phase difference film is created by laminating two λ/2 films to achieve a retardation value at 560nm. They are ideal for use in various coherent light and polarization applications, including circular polarizers, liquid crystal displays, and fiber optics. ■ Highly durable polymer sheets ■ The λ/4 plate functions achromatically and achieves a transmittance exceeding 90% in the range of 450 to 700nm ■ A lineup of phase difference films including λ/4, λ/2, and 1λ *The catalog of Edmund Optics Japan can be downloaded from the link below.
