basic information
The TECHSPEC cube-type non-polarizing beam splitter is composed of two precisely machined right-angle prisms. A suitable optical thin film is deposited on the sloped surface of one prism to function as a beam splitter, and the sloped surfaces of the two prisms are bonded together to form a cube shape. We offer three types based on effective wavelength ranges: a broad-band type for 430-670 nm, a broad-band type for 720-1080 nm, and a broad-band type for 1100-1620 nm. All products have a multi-AR coating (anti-reflective coating) applied to all four surfaces of the incident and exit faces, maximizing the transmission efficiency for the specified wavelength range. Each product employs a hybrid film that mixes metallic and dielectric films for the thin film that functions as a beam splitter. This adoption allows for broadening the effective wavelength range and controls the difference in transmission/reflection characteristics for p and s polarization to within 6%. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.
