basic information

Unlike laser line cube-type polarizing beam splitters that achieve a high extinction ratio of 1000:1 or more at specific laser oscillation wavelengths, this product is designed to function over a broad wavelength range. For the design wavelength ranges listed below, an extinction ratio of 500:1 or more can be achieved at any wavelength. There are two types available: the VIS type designed for the visible range of 420-680 nm and the NIR type designed for the near-infrared range of 700-1100 nm. Both types feature multi-AR coating (multi-layer anti-reflective coating) on all four surfaces of the incident and outgoing faces. This coating minimizes the occurrence of ghost images and maximizes transmission efficiency. The thin film that functions as a beam splitter uses a dielectric multilayer film with low light absorption. Additionally, high-precision right-angle prisms are used to construct the cube-type beam splitter, designed for precise polarization separation. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.
