Synthetic quartz right-angle prism (standard precision)

Effective in improving transmittance at the incident and exit surfaces, as well as reducing ghost image generation. Right-angle prism made of synthetic quartz.

Prisms made from UV-grade synthetic fused silica have particularly excellent transmission properties in the ultraviolet wavelength range. Due to their low thermal expansion coefficient, they are also ideal for use at high temperatures. Prisms are available in two types: one with an aluminum metal film applied to the sloped (reflective) surface and one without. (On top of the aluminum coating, a protective Inconel layer and black coating are applied.) Prisms with coatings have specific anti-reflective films (MgF2 single) applied to both the incident and exit surfaces. This is effective in improving the transmission rate at the incident and exit surfaces and reducing ghost image generation. ■ Ideal for 90° angle of deviation ■ Forms an upright left-right inverted image ■ Available in sizes from 5 to 50 mm ■ Best suited for broadband applications ■ Available with aluminum film (@reflective surface) and anti-reflective film (@incident and exit surfaces) *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan below.
