basic information

The ultrafast dispersion prism is designed to meet the unique requirements of ultrashort pulse laser systems and is available in a lineup based on dispersion performance. When used in an internal resonator, it can offset the dispersion caused by light passing through fixed cavity optics. When used in an external resonator, it can be utilized for manipulating pulse characteristics. Group velocity dispersion (GVD) determines how much a broadband pulse spreads or narrows, and it must be selected based on the dispersion requirements of the laser light source and application being used.
