Variable Beam Expander (Research Grade)
A variable beam expander ideal for applications such as prototypes and research and development, where changes in expansion power are necessary. Achieves a transmission wavefront accuracy of 1/4 wavelength!
The TECHSPEC variable beam expander is ideal for high-power laser applications that require changes in magnification, such as prototyping and research and development. It features a Galileo design that achieves a quarter-wavelength transmission wavefront accuracy and a design that allows for fixed magnification, maximizing transmission while minimizing ghosting effects through high laser-durability AR coatings. Additionally, it allows for continuous adjustment of magnification and laser divergence angle using the internal optical system's movement and focus adjustment mechanism. ■ Continuous variable magnification from 1~3X and 2~8X ■ Minimizes beam jitter as the internal optical elements do not rotate ■ Compact Galileo design with a fixed length of the optical tube *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan, which features this product, from the link below.
