basic information

Originally designed as a macro imaging prime lens, it can be considered a pseudo-object-side telecentric lens within a specific working distance range due to its characteristic of having an extremely close-to-0° angle of view in that range. In the case of conventional single-lens products, a movement of the object by approximately ±1.7mm results in about a 1% magnification error on the image side (at a magnification of 0.5X). In contrast, for this product functioning as a "pseudo-telecentric," the same amount of magnification error occurs when the object moves by approximately ±12.5mm. It should be noted that when performing telecentric imaging with this product, the effective magnification and working distance range when using only the lens body (#52-271) is very narrow, so it is designed to be used in combination with the accessory 2X rear converter lens (#52-272) (if there is no need for it to function as a telecentric optical system, it can be used as a macro imaging prime lens).
