List of Achromatic Lenses
Short delivery time for stock sales! All items available for sale from one piece.
Edmund Optics offers a wide variety of achromatic lenses. We provide multiple anti-reflective coating options for ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) applications, including UV-VIS, MgF2, VIS 0°, VIS-NIR, NIR II, and SWIR. Additionally, we have achromatic lenses specifically designed for ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) applications. The same lenses for ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) offer superior performance compared to standard achromatic lenses coated for the same or comparable wavelength ranges (designed for the visible spectrum). Aspherical achromatic lenses combine the color correction capabilities of achromatic lenses with the excellent spherical aberration correction capabilities of aspherical lenses. Triplet achromatic lenses are available for applications requiring a 1:1 conjugate ratio or high magnification. For more details, please visit the official Edmund Optics website via the link below.
basic information
Achromatic lenses (color-correcting lenses) are used to minimize or eliminate the occurrence of chromatic aberration. The achromatic (color-correcting) design also helps to minimize spherical aberration. Achromatic lenses are ideal for a range of applications, including fluorescence microscopy, image relay, inspection, and spectroscopy. Achromatic lenses are designed to produce smaller spot sizes compared to comparable single lenses, primarily by bonding or fixing two lens elements together within the optical tube.
