List of Dichroic Filters
Short delivery time with stock sales! All items available for sale from one piece.
Edmund Optics offers a range of dichroic filters, including dichroic mirrors that reflect one color while transmitting all other visible wavelengths, dichroic short-pass and long-pass filters designed for visible or near-infrared (NIR) applications, and dichroic filters (beam splitters) that pass/cut at the primary wavelengths emitted by fluorescent dyes. For more details, please visit the official Edmund Optics website via the link below.
basic information
The dichroic filter, which is included in the category of dichroic mirrors, is coated with a thin film dielectric layer that allows specific wavelength bands to pass through while reflecting other wavelengths. Unlike absorption filters that absorb light, dichroic filters can be used with stronger light sources as they block transmission through reflection. Dichroic filters are typically used at an incident angle of 45° and reflect the light that is blocked at a 90° angle relative to the transmitted light. Dichroic filters are used in applications such as fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry to selectively transmit light towards the detector.
