The laser mirror substrate, also known as a laser mirror blank, is coated with a dielectric or metallic film through post-processing and is used as a laser mirror. This mirror substrate has high surface quality and flatness, preventing performance degradation caused by localized surface defects. Common materials for laser mirror substrates include N-BK7 and UV-grade synthetic quartz, but ZERODUR is also used for applications with temperature variations.
