"UHMW" is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight ranging from 5 million to 9 million, which is extraordinarily high among polymer materials. Its low coefficient of friction is comparable to that of polytetrafluoroethylene resin. The color and appearance are indistinguishable from regular high-density polyethylene, but its physical and chemical properties are far superior.
