This is a case of replacing a Sharp PLC used in a steel industry customer's factory with a Mitsubishi Electric sequencer (Q series). The currently used PLC has already been discontinued, and the in-house maintenance team was unable to carry out the replacement, so outsourcing was being considered. When they requested a local engineering company they regularly work with, the construction costs were higher than the budget, and the estimated construction period was longer than expected at one week. We visited the site, confirmed the model and application of the currently used PLC, and selected a suitable alternative sequencer.
