IKO Anti-Fretting Grease AF2 is a grease that excels in anti-fretting corrosion properties, using a urethane compound as a thickener and synthetic oil as the base oil. Linear guide devices and rolling bearings may experience wear accompanied by reddish-brown wear particles on the contact surfaces between the rolling elements and the raceway due to repeated minute reciprocating or oscillating motions. This phenomenon is referred to as fretting corrosion or false brinelling, which can lead to a decline in the performance and accuracy of the equipment. IKO Anti-Fretting Grease AF2 demonstrates stable performance over an extended period, even in applications with minute stroke movements where general greases are difficult to use, contributing to improved reliability of the equipment.
