The Parallel Drive Stage PD…S is a unique precision positioning XY stage developed by IKO, which achieves a reduced cross-section by incorporating a mechanism that converts the linear motion of pole screw actuators arranged in a two-axis parallel configuration into XY motion. Unlike conventional XY stages that stack single-axis actuators, this stage has no moving motors or cables around it, making it easier to access the stage from the outside and allowing for a highly flexible device design that does not limit the working area. The linear guide incorporates a maintenance-free series of C-loop linear ways, resulting in a compact and highly durable stage.
