Sales of Fuji Gas Carbon Neutral LP Gas with Forest Origin Credits.

Fujigas has started selling "Fujigas Carbon Neutral LP Gas" (hereinafter referred to as "FCN-LPG"), which fully offsets the greenhouse gases generated during the combustion of LP gas. LP gas is used in about 40% of households across Japan, with nearly 100% coverage of the national territory, playing an extremely important role as an energy source for civilian use. However, it inevitably emits greenhouse gases during combustion. In response, Fujigas has introduced a method of carbon offsetting by converting the greenhouse gases absorbed through the management and conservation activities of valuable domestic forest resources into carbon credits and granting those credits. Until the development of green LP gas progresses, we plan to promote the sale of LP gas utilizing carbon credits derived from domestic forests and other sources, starting with this initiative. In the future, we will also work on credit development through our own afforestation activities, actively contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. (Note: The greenhouse gases generated from the consumption (combustion) of LP gas have been offset using carbon credits.)
