LP gas is used in about 40% of households across Japan, with nearly 100% coverage of the country, playing an extremely important role as an energy source for residential use. However, it inevitably emits greenhouse gases during combustion. To address this, Fujigas has introduced a method of carbon offsetting by converting the greenhouse gases absorbed through the management and conservation activities of Japan's valuable forest resources into carbon credits and granting those credits. Moving forward, until the development of green LP gas progresses, we plan to promote the sale of LP gas utilizing carbon credits derived from domestic forests and other sources, starting with this initiative. In the future, we will also work on credit development through our own afforestation activities, actively contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
